SAP has become one of the most in – demand courses across the world today. If one wants to build a career on the business side of SCM,  a strong knowledge of the business and maybe experience from SAP implementation projects as SME/BE would be very useful. If you want to be an SAP consultant within SCM, either internal or external, the SAP-certification is more important but even here the business experience in the domain is what counts.

Certification is important for the knowledge it gives, not for the certification, although the certification is important to a level. SAP is a lifelong learning experience and the destination continues to change.
